Tamanu oil can be applied to almost any skin disorder. In the US it became popular when Dr Oz said it was a “cure all” treatment for rashes and burns. We find it helpful for healing cuts, scrapes, burns, removing the pain and itch from insect bites and stings, healing abrasions, fighting acne and acne scars, treating psoriasis, taking the heat out of sunburn, cooling eczema flare ups, healing fever blisters… Application of tamanu oil topically promotwe healthy, clear, blemish-free skin, and massage it onto babies to prevent diaper rash and skin eruptions.

We use it with facial clients every day to promote healing and reduce redness. Tamanu oil can be used for acne healing or with aloe as a masque to reduce redness. Ours is unfiltered, hand collected, and squeezed (cold pressed) without harsh heat refinement processes.

Some believe the Tamanu tree to be a sacred gift of nature and that gods hid in its branches. For us in the Rockies, it helps with the extreme dryness and high altitude outdoor elements.
